Security incident - Frankfurt UAS is down
IT security incident at Frankfurt UAS. The university’s IT systems have been shut down.
The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences became the target of a serious hacker attack on 06.07.2024 at around 20:00. Despite very high security precautions, the criminals have managed to gain access to parts of the university’s IT infrastructure. As an immediate security measure, external access to our IT systems has been blocked and some services have been shut down. The communication infrastructure was also restricted. In addition, the police and relevant authorities were called in.
The extent of the attack cannot be estimated at this time. Unfortunately, it is therefore not yet possible to make a statement as to when the IT systems and services can be made available again to the usual extent.
Attendance at the university, including all courses, will continue. Please note that the elevators in the buildings are not usable for safety reasons.
Online enrolments at the university are currently not possible.
The university is currently not available by e-mail or telephone from or to the outside world. In urgent cases, you can reach the university at the following e-mail address: kontakt@frankfurt-uas.de.
